Don't forget that Rio de Janeiro is also enjoyable, so keep part of your time for Rio.

Tours 1, 3, 4 and 6 will be with TRAVEL MANIA travel agency, 2 and 5 with PROMOTIONAL TOURS. You may choose only part of the tours:1.1, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, 3.2, 4.1, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1 or 6.2.

We suggest that you choose your arrival and departure dates one day before or after the a tour, respectively, staying the night in your hotel in Rio.

Since we have the “Cachaça Festival” (White Rum Festival) at Paraty from 21st  until 24th  August it becomes very difficulty to get availability at Porto Imperial Lodge for the pre tour. So we propose you the Corsário Lodge for this period. The rates are informed below.

Petropolis – Regular service

The city of Petropolis is located 60 km away from Rio and it has been called the Imperial City since the Emperor Pedro II. Settled by the Germans, Petropolis keeps the memory of Brazilian history with its buildings and charming streets. This tour starts with the visit to the Imperial Museum, which has been the summer residence of the Emperor D. Pedro II and here you can see furniture and objects such as the crown of gold, pearls and diamonds used by D. Pedro I and D. Pedro II. The tour will continue on the Gothic Cathedral where Princess Isabel was buried along with the tombstones of D. Pedro II and his wife. From there you will see the Crystal Palace, built in France and mounted in Brazil, destined to shelter exhibitions and great parties promoted by Princess Isabel.

Time: Passengers will be picked-up from their hotel between 10:00am and 11:00am, depending on the hotel location. Exact pick-up time will be advised upon reconfirmation.

Tropical Islands with lunch – Regular service

The coach will pick you up from your hotels and take the Rio-Santos road to Itacuruça. There you will board a schooner (locally known as "saveiros"). A tray of tropical fruits will be served on board. A bar is also available on the boat. (Beverages are not included in tour price). The schooner cruises the Sepetiba Bay, an area rich in natural beauty, where it is common for passengers to spot the dolphins, giant king-fishers, parrots, turtles and sting-rays. After stopping for a swim, continue to the island where a delicious lunch buffet will be served. After lunch, there will still be time to explore the island before returning to Itacuruça. The coach returns via Barra, a charming residential area of Rio, America's Avenue and its modern shopping centers and buildings, Ayrton Senna Avenue and Sernambetiba Avenue, where exciting night life resides.
